Become a volunteer at K9 Friends!

Description:

 

K9 Friends is Dubai's oldest animal shelter. Their aim has always been to rescue and rehome stray and abandoned dogs. ​

​

 As a volunteer run organisation, they take in dogs and care for them until new homes can be found; giving them shelter and high standards of kennelling and veterinary care.

 

They also help reunite lost dogs with their owners, offer help and advice to new pet owners and they endeavour to educate the public and encourage a responsible dog-owning population in the UAE

​

Located in Dubai Investment Parks, there are a limited number of positions to volunteer for students.This will include learning about what they do, and presenting to your peers about responsible dog ownership and dog walking.

Alternatively, you can volunteer to walk a dog:

​

• Dog walkers are welcome to collect the dogs Monday to Saturday between 9.30 am and 11.30 am during the cooler months (October – April)

• The dogs will needs to be returned by 5pm of the same day.

• Minimum age is 14 and accompanied by an adult on the walk.

• Own transport is required to take the dog to a suitable location of your choice. We can assist with recommendations on locations.

• Maximum of 02 hours of service hours will be given per walk

• Social distancing rules apply and mask must be worn at all time.
