The Journey

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

I've always wanted to help create a positive impact - a sentiment shared by many students. People’s hearts are in the right place, but for many volunteering is a difficult and tedious process. Finding opportunities to volunteer is not easy, let alone finding opportunities that are nearby, require your skillset, and help with something you are truly passionate about.

Many of my own peers, and even I, have struggled with finding ways to volunteer in the past, and that has created the misconception that volunteering is not worth the effort. VolunteerYouth was founded to help address this problem. What better way to help impact society than to enable students to make a change, one step at a time?

VolunteerYouth acts as the bridge between students who want to volunteer, and organizations and initiatives in need of volunteers. The website keeps evolving, going from simply listing opportunities, to allowing students to apply to volunteer, to enabling organizations to add their opportunities to the site. We have tied up with a diverse variety of organizations, so that students can apply for all types of volunteering opportunities.

We hope to reach out to students of all ages globally through VolunteerYouth, positively impacting volunteering for the better, and giving access to a resource that makes the process of volunteering seamless and easily accessible.

We've had over 9,000 students from 29 countries use our website till date, but VolunteerYouth will not stop here. We will continue to expand and create a movement of volunteering across the UAE, and globally. Above all, our aim will always be to empower students to make a social impact.
